    • Greenbrier Valley Pride was born out of a growing need to create a safe and visible community for LGBTQ+ people in the Greenbrier Valley area. Formed in June 2021, GVP hosts different events and meet-ups to grow the LGBTQ+ community’s network and facilitate safe events. A 501(c)(3), Greenbrier Valley Pride is a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting for and preserving LGBTQ+ rights in the Greenbrier Valley and West Virginia.

    • This guide provides an outline for West Virginia residents who wish to change their name and/or gender marker on identity documents and other records. Listed below are the most common steps taken to make these changes in West Virginia. For most clients, we recommend pursuing these steps in the order listed. We understand, however, that some clients may have unique needs and/or goals that require a different approach to pursuing name/gender changes on their identity documents.

    • The Cabell-Huntington Coalition for the Homeless, or Harmony House, affirms the right of all people to adequate food, clothing, shelter, and healthcare. We believe these are human rights and should be available to everyone. To that end, the mission of Harmony House is to provide basic resources and housing to the homeless and formerly homeless of the Huntington area, and to collaborate with partner agencies for the provision of these basic resources.

    • Branches Domestic Violence Shelter was established as a non-profit agency in 1980. Branches work to empower the increasing number of domestic violence victims and their families to break the cycle of domestic violence in our area. Aside from providing emergency shelter, Branches offer legal assistance, individual & group counseling, and case management to ready our clients to become independent.
